Absolute diabolical refereeing again last night that favoured the "big club". How was that not a penalty for West Brom?? I seem to remember us going to the emirates in our second season, being a goal up then Heskey was clearly brought down when through on goal. Nothing was given and we went on to lose 2-1. Think the referee that day was a certain Mr Dowd!

Didn’t see it BM but heard the debate on talk sport this morning. Absolutely no way do these decisions even themselves out over the course of a season. Refs defo side with the bigger clubs and smaller clubs suffer.
Standard of refereeing is definitely getting worse.

And did same morsy not score a injury time goal?

Football refereeing is the the only occupation you can be persistently poor at you job and not face any sort of disciplinary.

Not true that. Lots of referees are demoted, and if you get demoted from the Select Group, which is full-time professional, then effectively you have lost your job.

Referees might get demoted to lower divisions but I doubt that they will lose their professional status and job. That would be unfair dismissal as the would have to had have a previous written warning.
