Beat the heathen fookers and to be honest should have embarrassed them. Some decent football and a surprise to see how skillful the women's game has progressed. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be following our girls throughout the tournament.

I'd rather eat my own toe nails fried in ear wax marrer.
Sunday League Pub football is better than that over hyped tripe.
The BBC should be ashamed of itself with the coverage it gives the ladies game.
Have you seen the BBC football website lately, you can hardly find anything to read for all womens world cup nonsense?
Give it a page on its own, and in the unlikely event any one wants to read abourt South Korea women v Afganistan women, then they can go to the page to look for it.
Leave the football page for football headlines and things people are interested in.
It really gets on my tits when they go on about equal pay and all that, piss off back to your ironing board and get on with your day job.

He's from Chorley. They haven't reached 1970 yet. I'll bet every one of them is a better footballer than him.

I agree on the equal pay though. Annoys me in sports like tennis especially. The womens finalist last year played less tennis in the whole tournament than one of the mens semi finals.

Seems the Scottish women come home after a week as well like the men do. Well, the men dont go most times.

I have many females in my life dnr, none of which have taken the route to become professional footballers, albeit my 87 year old mother would probably walk into one or two of the teams on show in France.
I don't have a problem with womens football, I just don't like the way it is promoted to be this fantastic spectacle when it is no better than Sunday League standard.
The amount of coverage it gets in the media (BBC mainly) is bordering on the ridiculous, it is blown out of proportion and totally out of context with its popularity.
Political correctness in this country has taken over from honesty in many ways.

They probably are SSB, but that wouldn't be hard to be fair and it wouldn't make them worth watching.

I read an article on the equal play in tennis subject, it was interesting. If u just look at the time spent on court it is clear that the men play more, but if u take the training, coaching, travel, which is all part of being a pro then the differential is less. My view? U should get what you are worth, if u do the same job in a bank there is no justification for unequal pay, when it comes to tv revenue for sport it is as different thing all together. The tricky one with tennis is that they sell the rights to Wimbledon as an overall package and don't sell the women and men separately so that becomes tricky to prove the differential.

As much as the BBC force it down our throats, the fact that the coverage was hosted by a bunch of women and the tall bloke from Homes under the Hammer, rather than a World Cup Golden Boot winner & the Premier League record scorer tells me that it is (and always will be) a 2nd rate event.

Even if you never drop a game or set, a male tennis player will play about 30 games of tennis per slam more than his female counterpart. To use your bank analogy, its like doing the same job for am extra 2 days a week and getting the same pay.

You could say that about football in general the majority of the time.

The mens team wouldn't qualify if they gave away tickets in packs of crisps.

Cannot agree in any way shape or form that women's football is Sunday league standard horc. I ran a Sunday league side who was successful and once went the season unbeaten. Many of our lads also played for Nuneaton Griff fc who were in the Midland Combination so were decent level players. There is no way we ever reached the level of play the lionesses have already shown at the world cup. The one aspect that is poor has been our finishing and we should have thrashed both the sweaties and Argies. The build up play and passing has at times been brilliant. Do yourself a favour lad and watch the next game v Japan and you may just be surprised .

Pretty poor performance tonight by the lionesses and they still won. Passing was way off and against a very dangerous and skillful side in Japan. Top of the group and play on Sunday in the last 16. Here's hoping for a decent run for the girls.

And the sweaties threw away a 3 goal lead and are out hahahahaha.

Disgraceful showing by Cameroon against the girls. I've never seen such poor behaviour on a football field. Norway on Thursday in the quarter finals next for the lionesses.
