Leyton Orient have responded, quickly and decisively, today by sacking their recently appointed Manager,
Carl Fletcher. The man made poor team selection, poor tactics, boring football. Players and staff unhappy and manY many fans very disgruntled.

It is a great pity that Wigan directors have their heads between their knees. One day they will be forced to act
If they are playing to a mostly empty stadium.

Cook has got to go.

That's not strong leadership. It's lily livered, pathetic, knee jerk pandering to mob.

If our board, past and present, listened to our fans Whelan would have been gone 10 years ago. Martinez would have been sacked before we got to the greatest day in our history. We'd have £10 season tickets and free admission with a pie thrown in for good measure and a succession of sacked managers and owners because we hadn't spent millions on players.

Especially here, football supporters are the last people that should be swaying club policy.

Thats a one dimensioned look at it.

Had Whelan sold us sooner, to the kind of investment that was said to have shown interest in us, such as massive certain Far Eastern Vehicle manufacturers and a leading energy drink company, then perhaps we would still be a Premier League club.
But no. He handed over the reigns to Chippy Boy, and no matter what anybody says, the club was just treading water thereafter. Then he sold us to faceless owners who have no interest in football, and who's real intentions we still dont know.

And as for Martinez, any cup win has a large degree of luck to it. As great as that day was, and we won it on merit, Martinez got lucky with it. Any other Premier league club wouldve sacked him 2 seasons earlier. We might not have won the cup, but we might still be a Premier League club. Ive always said winning the cup was better than staying up. 6 years later, and looking at us now, I am not so sure.

No. Lets just let this shit show continue, until we are back to Springfield Park-esque crowds of 3000. We are in a really bad mess at the moment and it needs sorting out.
And there you go!

I'll tell you what it is, holding events. That is their business blueprint so in terms of what they got for their let's see:-

They got a stadium with a football club not riddled with debt unlike our bellend nieghbours,

A Rugby team paying rent,

A not too old stadium,

Ideal location of the ground, stuck in between 2 major UK cities and 2 airports plus a mile away from on a mainline Scotland to London train line,

Tonnes of land to expand hotel possibly ?? and Prem quality training facilities
And not to mention an instant foothold in the UK market,

For how much ?, these lot are a consortium of multi millionaires. This is chicken feed for them, chicken feed.
Do they need to invest ?, well No they don't as they clearly pointed out they wanted the club to concentrate on bringing youth through the system.

That's all fine and a good business plan but let's just hope these wonder kids were gonna home grow actually play and contribute before we flog on for hefty fees or it totally defeats the object.
Were not Chelsea, we need to play these lads along side experience pros.

Selling academy products for massive fees we can invest elsewhere sounds like good business to me. Bit like signing Valencia and Palacios for frig all and selling them for millions.

All well and good talking about huge investment but when your income is about £4.50 it kind of breaches FFP rules.

Are there any rules anymore?
Wolves broke all sorts of fp rules on gaining promotion.
Bolton Wanderers broke many rules and still havnt been punished and were actively supported and had their hands held by the EFL while they walked them through their so called crisis.

Incidentally, the EFL panel met yesterday to discuss their punishment for unfulfilment of fixtures last season, so it appears that punishment is imminent.

Yes. Sheff Wednesday were charged earlier this week.

Wolves (and QPR when they beat us in the playoffs) were not because the PL and FL are two seperate entities. Basically you can cheat provided you get promoted.

The EFL are deciding their punishment as we speak

I work in Bolton, which might explain my fluctuating sanity. But, it is a great place to work as I only have to turn up for work when I can be bothered. I don’t have to let my bosses or colleagues know and I just make up my own rules. If I mess anything up I just blame everyone else and tell people I’m special.
This is the Bolton way!

Invest were though ?, are we selling young lads to fund old pro's like Fox Mulgrew, Pilkington? players who seem to be constantly crocked at some point.
We need to start over the next 3-5 years bringing these lads into the side. Let's let these lads gain experience playing for Wigan thus in turn hopefully helping us cement a place in the Championship.
Like I said, we are not Chelsea Arsenal or Utd were we can afford to have dozens out on loan.
If we are simply gonna become of breeders and never owners then it just highlights the new owners full intentions.
We need a manager who's brave enough to wean lads in. Cook prefers experience which is clearly not working.

Whilst I am delighted we have got him to sign a new contract, the picture of him with Darren Royle and Jonathan Jackson has made me think.
In the picture, Royle is wearing a Poppy pin badge. Now, if Darren Royle is the astute businessman he seems to be, would he wear that badge after the 11th November, which was last Monday? Did he actually sign it last week? Seems strange to do that and wait until this spare International break weekend to announce it.

And where is Cook? Is something happening, are they going to announce Cook has gone, and are using Joffy signing the new deal to appease anybody who may be disgruntled?

Perhaps I am just being a conspiracy theorist here. Or maybe something is going on behind the scenes?
And there you go!

Lots of people are still wearing poppies, particularly a pin badge

A contract is between the club (Royle and Jackson) and the player. Although they are very often wheeled in for big signings, managers play no part in the procedure, particularly when you are giving a contract to a young player already on the books.
Where is he? Probably at home having been given a bit of time off to be with his family.
Perhaps I am just being a conspiracy theorist here.

Probably

Kieffer Moore’s form for Wales is taking the p***, or should we call it “takin the leek”

If Cook listened to this form Moore would be doing that for us too!

Gelhardt (if true) signing a new deal means nothing more than the club can demand a bigger fee when he's sold, something chippy mon should have done with Powell.
I personally think we will never see him in a Latics shirt as a regular starter. The industrial size bag of cotton wool will be used to protect our prize asset.

Theres one slight problem with that, if your are unable to show what you can actually on a pitch then your valuation will slowly diminish overtime.

Moore 2 in 3 for Wales but yet to score an outfield goal for us ?. Player or managers fault ?.
Lots on here are like MPs and Brexit. They say one thing then move the goal post when suits. I seem to remember lots saying that last season was all about survival and consolidate then push on next season to secure a regular spot in the Championship.
12 months on were deja vu. I prefer competitive football as opposed to survival football.
Me?, I have got to blame our last 4-5 transfer windows. We've brought in players by the tractor load. Who ever sourced out some of the players needs stop scouting via YouTube.
If we had of used these windows better we might not be in the sh1t we are

I'm not going to count his goals from set pieces but I think we all agree he needs more support. We could also do with trying to teach our wide players how to cross because they always end up 6 foot above him or miles behind him
