Neil Warnock has stated that he wouldn’t be surprised if Roberto Martinez put in an offer for Crystal Palace youngster Victor Moses.

Victor Moses

Neil Warnock is obviously touting one of his youngsters to Wigan in an attempt to get some much needed funds into his coffers. The Nigerian born under 19 International has a contract with the Eagles until 2012 and it being banded about that it would cost £2.5 million to get him.

Warnock’s sole basis for his comments are because the Swansea scouts went to watch him after he had a good game against the Swans last year, he said: “I’ve not heard anything at all but it wouldn’t surprise me,”

“Victor was super at Swansea. I had a good chat with Roberto after that match and told him that Victor would go on to play for one of the top-four clubs.”

The player’s agent said: “I had dialogue last year with Swansea’s chief scout and there are numerous other clubs in the Championship who would welcome Victor Moses as part of their squad, but the proof is in the pudding.

“Talk is cheap. It’s about making a physical offer and Crystal Palace deciding when they deem fit to accept any bid. Only the manager can decide that.”

The quotes I think say it all, being a good championship player doesn’t mean that we will take the risk on him in the Premier League, I wonder what Ben Watson thinks?????

Is this a ploy by the agent and Palace or could we really be this interested in a player that is totally untested at our level???
