Most people won’t have heard of Gordon Hill, but he has sprung to fame as the Wealdstone Raider fan bringing it on via Youtube. We have been asked by a friend of his to promote his single as wide as possible to help it get up there with the X Factor effort that generally makes the number one spot.

The single has been released to raise money for Charity and so at least the cause is worthwhile, unlike the X Factor Greed Machine….. It would be very hard to get it to number one, but if you do it just to donate a quid to charity, you can hold your head high anyway.

Here is the speil:

I am writing this on behalf of Gordon Hill aka the Wealdstone Raider. We are trying to get his single “Got No Fans” to continue its run up the charts to take on Simon Cowell and X-Factor (and all-comers) for the Christmas number 1 spot – In the last 48 hours we have done brilliantly and got him to no.3 on iTunes and 13 in the UK top 40.

The single is raising money for Autism Concern and Great Ormond Street Hospital and Wealdstone FC Youth, all registered charities, but we are also doing this for football fans up and down the country.

The Wealdstone Raider has been really well received by literally hundreds of thousands of people and his popularity is in the ascendency because he is just an average football fan who happened to go viral on YouTube – there is genuinely a lot of love out there for the wee fella.

It seems like a mountain to climb, but only 10,000 more sales will put us in the UK top 5 and from there, then it’s anybody’s guess. (Gordon is on TalkSport at 11.30 on Colin Murray’s show).
