The players have had two days with the new Gaffer Warren Joyce, it will be interesting to see his first Wigan Athletic team sheet on Saturday.

Just over ten days ago came the shock sacking of Gary Caldwell and after a week of speculation we heard that our new manager was to be unveiled as Warren Joyce.
Can Joyce work the magic he has done with the Youth setup at Manchester United? Over the next few months (maybe even years) we will find out.
His first game in charge will be against a high flying Reading who are firmly planted in the playoff positions right now.
Of course we are still relatively early in the season and a win for Latics would see us 8 points behind our guests and more than like away from the bottom three.
You have to go back to September 2007 to see the last win on the score sheet for Reading and they have only 2 wins in our last 12 meetings.
Our best win of course, or most historic one anyway, was the 3-1 win on the 8th May 2005 that sealed our promotion to the Premier League.
Our win last weekend against Cardiff has shown that we can win games, hell we should be 8 or 9 points better off this season had we have been able to put our chances away.
But that is the point, we have dominated games and created more than enough to win them, but haven’t… it’s the reason Warren Joyce has this chance at management and Gary Caldwell is have a break.
We will have Power back from suspension and Power has recovered from his knock, but as Cardiff proved, we can arguably play a lot better without them.
The team sheet at 2.00p.m. on Saturday will be interesting to see, will he just stick with the layers that did the job at Cardiff? Has he seen something in his short time here that warrants a change?
Either way, we are going to win a very tight games, SkyBet have us at 7/5 for the home win, whilst Reading are at 21/10.
