Just over a week ago we started a competition for a chance to win one of two copies of ‘Mild and Bitter were the days’ by Ken Barlow, here are the winners.

We won our first football league game at Springfield Park on the 13th September 1978 – Which team was it against, what was the score and who scored???
The answer of course was Rochdale, 3-0 with Jeff Wright, Frank Corrigan & Joe Hinnigan the scorers.
Of the correct entries, two names have been drawn out of the hat and (drum roll) we’re pleased to announce that Neil Atherton and Ben Wilkinson will both have a copy of “Mild and Bitter were the days” by Ken Barlow sent to them.
