Lewis Montrose has made the decision to leave Latics in his quest for first team football, he signed for Wanderers today

Latics decided to let young Lewis Montrose go after it was made clear that his first team appearances would be few and far between.

It is Wycombe Wanderers’ manager Peter Taylor first signing of the summer and he is believed to have given the 20-year-old midfielder a two-year deal.

Peter Taylor commented on the Chairboys’ official website: “I’ve kept tabs on Lewis ever since we played against Chesterfield last season. I’ve also spoken to a few people I know at Wigan and that’s why I’ve followed up my interest. I’m delighted to sign a young player and I hope with some games and experience he’ll kick on.”
