Wigan Athletic will welcome back a hero from the seventies for our home game with Sunderland, Geoff Davies wowed the non-league crowds back then and he will be back to see his old club come the 28th November.

Geoff Davies scored an amazinng 42 goals in one season for Latics, a NPL hero that is returning to Wigan to see his old Club in action.

Before the game he will be giving the older Latics fans a chance to remenisce with him about the old days, whilst he will also share a few stories and answer any questions with younger and newer fans.

He and his good friend Ken Barlow, author of ‘Mild and Bitter were the days’, will be in teh Supporters Club Bar before the game to meet, greet, chat and answer any questions fans may have.

Full details are on the Wigan Athletic Supprters Club website:

Hopefully there will be a good turn out for him and if anybody hasn’t read Ken’s book, he will be bringing a few copies on the day, I’m sure both player and author would be happy to sign for you.
