After a torrid couple of years at Wigan Athletic, Olivier Kapo has signed a loan deal which will see him go to Boulogne until the end of the season.

Kapo was originally brought in by Steve Bruce as he wasn’t featuring much at Birmingham and we needed a flair midfielder to bolster our squad. It didn’t take the Frenchman long to give us an insight as to why he wasn’t featuring at the Blues and was soon demoted to the bench and reserve football.

Kapo came to English football with high hopes after flying high with Juventus, but whether it is the Premier League’s style of play that didn’t suit him or the weather or maybe just the clubs he’s been at, he hasn’t been able to replicate his previous form.

His first game with his new club will be against Auxerre and if selected he will be playing the club that he left to come to England in the first place.
