The problem is (and this may be why nobody has bothered to buy us) that they are instantly £5m down the second they sign the contract in order to see us through the next 2 seasons. With no guarantee of crowds this season in any great numbers and the probability of L2 football and needing to rebuild the squad again it’s a lot of money to throw away.
Other clubs will still have income from season tickets that we don’t and can sell players at their going rate as opposed to dealing in pence.
There will be plenty of clubs struggling as there was pre-covid, but from an administration point of view it literally couldn’t have come at a worse time.
