It’s a toughy, do we invest and go into debt for a 3rd time or do we bite the bullet, kids, loans and have a club.

We’ve been so so reliant on our last two owners to fund half decent squads and we all know what happens when those funds stop.

Blackburn have one of the best academies in the country but how many of those have they sold for big money ?. If your going to conveyer belt very good young lads then eventually they need to break into the first team, get game time then sell on, in our case Tickle & Hughes.

Right now we have a very inexperienced squad and it shows. Maloney has hinted at wanting an older headed No9 so that’s Stones off out on loan for the season mark my words.
Stones’s contract runs out 2025 so we might be seeing the last of him in a Wigan shirt.

I can see Danson’s point of view. He bought a club with problems and lots of them and he funded this dying club till this summer so his first job rather than throw money in is to try and recoup losses like any business would do.

My argument is, while your doing this your not repairing the hole in the sinking ship your basically wacking gaffer tape over it (loans and kids) hoping it holds while you sell what’s left player wise to get your money back and little or no investment into the squad.

Eventually the damage done by sticking tape over the problem rather than addressing the issue will I think leave us with long term irreversible damage sending us to the depths of L2 football.

The only solution I can see is get shut of the manager, and why do I say this ? it’s simple, we can’t change the squad in 10 days and we’re not going to sign 5-6 experienced players in that time. These young lads need a different style of football basically a breath of fresh air and what Maloney asks them to do on a Sat/Tues simply does not suit them.

His frustration is now spilling over and tiny subliminal type replies in post match interviews suggest he’s coming to the end of his tether anyway.

Maloney clearly does not know how to get the best out of these young lads and I’ve seen enough from him last season and this season to suggest he’s style/brand of football has failed us.

I’d get shut now while the seasons young, bring in a young, ambitious, ex player who these young lads can relate to someone not long retired
    Who?
Answers on a post card but for us to survive this season he has to go or we need at least 6 older experienced player in in the next 10 days
