It’s definitely work in progress but the problem is, how many times do we say this ? It’s yearly re-building a squad every transfer window.
Personally I like S.Smith I think he’s always putting himself about making players rush on the ball pressing which is always an thankless task.
I can see him slotting in at right back as the season goes but Adeeko, I’m afraid he’s going to struggle to get back in.
The key word is consistency, we need at times to get ugly and grind results out. The moving the ball back to front was encouraging along with corners been whipped which lead to two goals.
For me Weir was a breath of fresh air, that missing link from defenders to been on the front foot. You can tell he’s been coached very well.
