Taylor had actually stopped chasing down for the last 10 he’d ran himself into the ground so at that point you replace him yeah?. The most obvious choice unless your 1 up and holding on is Stones.
Nope not Mr Maloney it’s Sibbick on for Carragher who really didn’t need replacing so why? well to give Sibbick another 10 were as Stones is left to ponder his future.
We proceeded on going wide on a pitch the width of a cig box were keepers could also comfortably kick it to each other. That game needed the middle of the park flooding and over run them not wingers on one of the smallest pitches I’ve seen in donkeys years.
Taylor spent most of the game needlessly chasing down, stuff he should be leaving well alone not stupidly burning fuel on no hope lost causes another Maloney trait “Chase everything I don’t care”.
Maloney’s all about don’t lose and nothing to do with let’s win risk & reward.
We finished that game with the vast majority of the players on the pitch either defenders or defensive minded leaving Maloney again happy with a point.
It’s awful colourless football dull to the core orchestrated by a manager lacking in ideas and clearly out his depth.
He took Weir and Aasgaard off two attacking minded players and replaced them with 2 defensive minded midfielders coupled with M.Smith tucked in at the back sums up Maloney.
His treatment of Stones is pathetic soul destroying pathetic. Apparently Cze has crossed his path as well so if true you won’t be seeing Cze again.
I’ve always advocated for Maloney to remain but I’ve had enough. His boats sailed for me and it’s time up. The crowds are dropping and the football is awful no identity no style it’s nasty to watch.
Watch Maloney’s interviews it’s an uncomfortable watch. If he looks and talks like that to the players they’ll be as uncomfortable as me.
I’m a great believer that you should talk and treat people the way you’d want to be treated and spoken to. One hair out of place and he doesn’t treat you the same, that’s my view and I have actually heard this from someone within the club cross his path your out for good.
It won’t be long before winters here and for a lot it will be a case of:-
“Shall I get off my comfy couch and fork out £25 to watch sh*te football or just make another brew and get dunking ?”
It will be hob nob time for alot of folk
