I get what you say about Whelan but I’m not blowing his trumpet. Whelan sold his sporting empire for a tidy sum it wasn’t him that got it wrong it was the investors who bought it.
As for JJB and DW naming rights ?, it sold his company name globally building the brand name and in turn it brought in more money.
Whichever way you look at it he spent & invested his own wealth into the club.
My point was for us to become “self sufficient, self sustainable” we have to make massive cuttbacks throughout the club from players to staff. Right now were close to rock bottom. When you can’t pay guys to open a turnstile up you know your at the rock bottom.
Then the next step once your running on a shoestring budget you look at ways to maximise money coming into the club and stadium naming rights is always a decent earner.
Why we started a woman’s team when we’ve not a pot to piss in is beyond me. I’m not against a women’s side but for FS let us get our head above water first.
I’m the same, I haven’t a clue why Danson took over. If he mapped out a long term plan fans could ponder over and digest I think we’d be happy to mull over it and it might shed some light on our future but right now my biggest concern is what’s happening to the squad as a whole. It’s the worse squad I have seen in 25 years.

It’s early November, he’s not had a club since July, he’s had no pre season and he’s 33 and he’s a defender when we’ve one fully fit forward at the club right now.
It’s like having a bald front tyre on your car so you change the back one instead.
