It would be interesting to know exactly the figures what he was on and what he wanted.
Let’s face it, we had alot of overpaid underperforming players that were like divers boots at the club.
Humphrys was a marmite player you either did or didn’t like him. I personally thought while he was at the club he blew hot & cold too inconsistent but when he was on it he could change a game with rocket strikes not many keepers could save.
Would he get in this current side ? oh yes for sure. If I were Danson I would have paid him because as Humphrys said, he has an affiliation with the club like Macca and right now we’ve no leaders no characters.
If he was in the changing room he would be amongst the leaders nowdays jollying these young loanees up.
Like I’ve said a 100 times over, we had an unsustainable wage bill that needed culling. The problem was Danson went far too far chopping and getting rid leaving the club with one of the youngest sides in the 4 leagues.
People like Humphry’s in the changing room are invaluable.
