Everyone wanted to keep him…….with the intention of a new deal. If that wasn’t on the table (and we still don’t know that) it is verging on negligence to turn down a reported £10m. That sum could fund the club’s losses for a year or more. Or should we choose, help with a recruitment drive, to bring much needed quality into the club.
