It’s not his fault he isn’t a defender. We should have started the season with cover or had our own left back with Robinson as cover.
In the few games he has played out of position he has done his best apart from getting himself sent off but there isn’t much said other than support when Sam has his rush of blood. (Which is too often).

The lad got off on a bad foot in that poxy friendly in sweaty sock land, and his face just hasn’t fit right with some fans since then.
Like you say, other players like Sam can put in indifferent performances week in week out and you don’t hear a peep against them.
He has done pretty well considering he is out of position, but you are right, we should have had a left back of our own a long time ago.
