Naturally, players want to progress and succeed during their careers – you can’t knock him for that.
Realistically, he’s never going to win much at Wigan.
We just need to hold out for the best possible fee when the time comes, and actually stick to our asking price.
Saying that.. I don’t think McCarthy is anywhere near as valuable an asset as McArthur at the moment. McArthur has outshone him big time recently, yet he will never get the same sort of recognition for some reason (probably the fact he’s 4 years older).
Fine by me he can be the new Ian Kilford
