He can’t as they have a lease, and a long one. And I would have thought the last thing we need in times like these is to pick another fight within the town.
Leases can be bought out, everyone has a price.
There are other ways to get shut aswell, i.e. rent increases, moving their game times etc. I reckon they could be shifted quite easily if Dave had the inclination.
Why is the pitch so rubbish every year though? How difficult is it to keep it in decent shape for 40 odd games a year. Someone wants sacking.
There is never time for any proper pitch renovation works.
Look at the best pitches in the PL and count how many games are played on them and whether they are rested for 3 or so months during the summer months.
The chubs are no more responsible really for ruining the pitch than us, its just they play on it when it should be being rested and repaired.
