Funny on Sky this morning.
Going around Pooles Pies factory, asking their staff about the game. Some old woman being interviewed, obviously taken the time to make sure she had her ‘cherry and white’ on. (She’d put a ribbon around her hat and had a red t shirt on)
“We hate them and they hate us” she said.
Cut to some woman in her chippy in St Helens.
“It’s a local,friendly rivalry” she said.
Bit of a difference there, eh?
I still cannot believe that they have to rely on people buying the ‘neutral’ tickets to sell out. I mean, it’s only being played up the road. Imagine if Wigan played Bolton in, say, a league cup final, played for some reason at Old Trafford?
I’ve just added up Scoffy’s figures. 10,000.
32,000 my ar*e!
