“All what you say above may be true and so be it, but it misses the point. I bet if either of the clubs you mention own the ground, their tennent won’t have a Stand named after one of their idols. If it was jointly owned or independently owned then thats different.
We know we are the main team in Wigan and they are in our shadow.
We are glad they pay us rent and understand totally the economics of the arrangement.
We know that we will now get priority over fixture clashes, and we do get behind our team and focus on all things latics.
The point you seem to have missed is it is a football ground owned by our football club, by all means rent it out if it gets sone income, but why name anything after some peanut hugging klump who has no affiliation to WAFC.
