Even worse, what if Grigg goes to Sunderland, they go up, we go down and Grigg scores double figures in thier promotion push.
Now that, would! drive fans insane
And what if he then fails at Sunderland next season in the Championship?
As Stu says, there is evidence to suggest he can’t do it at this level on a regular basis. Yes he scores the odd goal against City etc but his stats at this level don’t match those in League One. Is he lucky that he is in a good League One side and unlucky that he is in a crap Championship side?[/quote]
Your point is, he can score in League One but that’s it ?. I don’t know if you’ve noticed he’s not been played plus lumping up to him and asking him to run from the half way line isn’t his game.
Is Garner or Vaughan a better forward ?. At this moment in time yes they are because:
We lump it up to them
Thier both getting played
Im not saying Griggs Prem quality what I’m saying right now he’s the best forward we’ve got with no reason to sell. It’s not like we’re getting 2-3 million, were giving him away.
To say I’m not playing you because him and him are injured is just about the biggest load of bullcrap I have ever heard a manager come out with.
Please don’t tell me you think Garner and Vaughan are better goal scorers and can do it for us in the Championship ?.
Before you discount a player you’ve gotta give him a chance and play to his strengths, Cole and MacManaman been another 2.
Told you, 30+ 6ft….been around the block Leon Clarke, Darren Fletcher Andy King will make Cook sit up. 200k for Fox a player who’s 33 in May and out of contract in the summer fits Cooks profile. I bet the physio’s on O.T. next month
And
There’s far more evidence to show that Cook can’t do it in the Championship, far more than Grigg
