everyone has an opinion on martinez one way or another, but if he does resign or gets sacked, would a new manager be able to change things round, even if he changed tatics and formations, which everyone seems to think would like some kind of magic wand. and if whelan does opt to change managers who`s to say he wont pick someone with exactly the same footballing philosophy as martinez. any new manager would want money made available for players, bring his own backroom staff in etc, imo the only managers we could attract are those use to working on shoestrings, so would we really be any better off,
You’ll never know until you try it, I guess, but in my view you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.
You’re probably right that a new bloke would have to work with what we’ve already got rather than having pots full of money to spend and, contrary to what some believe, I’m not sure that any new bloke will suddenly get this bunch of players playing any better than they do today.
Just my opinion but hey, I didn’t call anybody thick!
im certain of one thing some of the names being mentioned as possible replacements wouldnt be the answer, ie billy davies, ian hollaway, managers get jobs on what they achieved at one club, but how many managers repeat their sucess,
