you tried to be witty Standish – but you didnt address the questionOkay, in lieu of a sense of humour, let’s address your question:
Yes, some of those signings have been poor, but how can you include Crusat? In my opinion he looks like he might be half decent, but I haven’t seen enough of him yet. He got into some good positions today but his runs weren’t spotted – Watson being the main culprit. Also, Sammon is decent value for the money paid, as are the unmentioned Alcaraz and Jones – who were free.
What about Al Habsi and Moses? And, why attribute the two Hamilton lads to Jones? Doesn’t Martinez have final say as manager? Would Jones also not be responsible for the other SPL players Caldwell and Sammon? Or are you therefore saying Martinez scouted and signed all the others himself.
So in answer, no it’s not just you, I’m sure there are others who agree with you – but let’s be honest, in the current climate you could make a claim that Martinez is wanted for war crimes and you’d have half a dozen of Wigan’s finest agreeing with you.
