Sammon has to play but I can’t see Martinez leaving cleverley and mccarthy on bench so I think moses will miss out. Would love him to go 4-4-2 but think he may go as follows..
Al habsi
Boyce Caldwell Alcaraz FigWatson
Mccarthy DiameNzogbia Sammon Rodallega
At least we have good bench options if it’s not going to plan!

I don’t agree that Sammon has to play. He has looked a great impact player, but as yet to prove himself over 90 mins and at this stage do we want to risk it.?
The team that started Sunday played quite well, created loads of chances and got done with two set pieces. You can play whatever formation / team you want, but if you can’t defend set pieces you will struggle. The worrying thing about Sunday is that we will get bombarded throughout the game. If there’s any changes to be made I might move Boycie to centre back and bring Gohouri in.

From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!19 May 2011 at 1:16 am #66108Hugo is useless out wide. He is inconsistent as a lone striker but out wide he doesn’t have the pace or skill to beat a man.
Back 4 will be as expected, although im very worried with Stoke having a big pitch we’ll get caught out once or twice with our 2 center backs being as pacey as my gran.
Moses plays better as a sub, and if Stoke are knackered then perhaps its better to play him from half time, to get the same impact as last week.
Sammon we have never seen from the start, but he makes a useful & lively sub, again perhaps he would be more beneficial coming on when Stoke are getting tired?
Sounds mad but I think id start the game with the same team from Sunday. even though we lost the first half 2-0 we battered West Ham and those 11 are our best at playing it on the floor – which i think we’ll need to do, as anything in the air will be won by Stoke’s numerous big b*stards. Then get Victor on for the second.

Are they related to Sheffield Wednesday?? :?

We’ve had a different starting 11 in most games this season from game to game, bit weird to be betting your kid’s education on it.
