It appears that when I go to the DW stadium these days, I go through a portal to another similar world. (It must be somewhere on the canal bank between Martland Mill and the Stadium if anyone wants to use it?) As The games I watch and the games Martinez watches bear no resemblance to each other.
That says it all, for someone who professes to LOVE Wigan Athletic through and through. I think someone should tell him it’s called FREEDOM OF SPEECH. He can voice his opinions but no one else can. Sounds a bit like Stalin to me. ;)
I know the site needs them but they get on my moobs.

Quote “We intend to be here(Premier league) for 7 or 8 years”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What’s happened to the “We are aiming for Europe”???????
Lets face it, from Top to Bottom the club is a complete shambles. A Premier League club run on Northern Premier League lines I hate to see my beloved club, becomming the laughing stock of the Football world.
Apart from O’Neill in our first season at the JJB – I cannot recall a player who gets as much stick / abuse as Gomez
(numerous spring to mind from SP)
And believe me it will get worse
In fact I feel quite sorry for the lad at times
I don’t, if he’s not good enough he deserves to be criticised.[/quote]
You can’t blame him if he ain’t up to it. It’s the Manager you have got to blame for playing him :?
Couldn’t agree more. 10 years of team building destroyed in 1 season, by an incompetent, stubborn, man. There are better managers in the Wigan Amateur League. Whelan must bear some of the blame. He appointed him, and should have admited he had made a wrong call, as he did when he appointed Hutchins, and sacked him at Christmas. I have never been as dissapointed after watching League football for over 50 years.
According to Martinez We’re building yet another platform…. Soon we will have more platforms than Wigan North West Station.
If you look at our forthcoming fixtures. The future ain’t bright and it ain’t orange.. Where are we going to get another 13 points from :?:
Charlie the best player on the field by a mile, but how long before he loses his enthusiasm? I thought tonight we would come out with all guns blazing but the fight appears to have gone out of the team, but was it ever there :?: I fear if we drop into the bottom three we won’t have the fighting spirit needed to get out
Here’s hoping I’m wrong
