Hull are looking to sign Wigan Athletic’s Callum McManaman but are struggling to meet the club’s £6million valuation for the winger

So one out none in so far eh! Looking promising then, not!

I thought that the season we got relegated the payments went up to £60m over 4 years? Now assuming that they are equal payments, £30m So far to a club that wasn’t faring too badly financially to start with is a big wedge and that sort of money coming in should not see us 2nd from the bottom and 5 points from safety ! So many questions at the moment points to big turmoil right through the club!

Well if things don’t improve very quickly I think that our voices need to be heard! I am sure that news of a mutiny brewing will travel swiftly to Barbados! Many will vote with their feet. If Rovers fill their end on Saturday they could have nearly as many as us on! I am taking no chances on saturday and will be drinking from 12.30 onwards in order to numb the pain! ha ha

If Whelan is banned from all football related activities for 6 weeks, which lasts the duration of the transfer window, who will make the decisions on whether the manager gets potted, which players we sign, how much is available for transfers etc etc.

I know everyone will say, Dave Whelan, and that will probably be right, but do we have a Deputy Chairman? Someone’s signature will have to be on Malkay’s Dear John letter if he goes or at the bottom of a players contact.

I presume it would be Johnathon Jackson, but would the club not need to clarify this? just wondering like….

According to an article I read on the day the ban was announced, the club decided not to appeal because essentially it makes no difference to the day to day running of the club.
It went on to say Whelan is not involved in the day to day running of the club and is not a signatory on any incoming or outgoing deals.
I’ve no doubt that it is Whelan who ultimately sanctions anything & if the decision is made to get rid of MacKay I am sure that ultimately it would be Whelan who would make that decision but as far as any official paperwork goes, it doesn’t have Whelan’s name on it.
The FA are completely powerless to stop Whelan making a phone call to Jonathan Jackson to sack MacKay, appoint a new manager, sign a new player, authorise a sale, or for that matter even prove any of the these.

Ultimately, save for Whelan not being allowed to attend matches during the ban, the ban itself is pretty much worthless
Lucky bastard, I wish someone would ban me! :)

I’ve called the Rovers fans I know rotten since we sent them down that they did fuck all against venkys and Keane apart from lob a chicken on the pitch.

We seem to be doing less than that and ironically play them next, ready to get thumped with nobody up front, without a chicken in sight.

I might throw a pie on the pitch ! :P

My thread wasn’t meant to come across as hysterical because I am nothing like hysterical but I am a little worried that not many seem to be saying anything? There does seem to be a lie down and roll over attitude which is quite bizarre if I am being honest! Rovers fans took action and fought for their club when they feared that Kean would ruin them, why are we not doing anything? If one can’t see that there is a massive problem that will end up with us going down and eventually disappearing from the football league then there is no hope for us!

Actually it was Maloney and McClwan up front and if an defender is injured replace him with an striker that makes a lot of sense

I’ve always thought the club have been poor at communicating information on general things going on at the club, However it doesn’t take much effort to browse the official club site / wall and find things out.

I have subscribed to Latics Player since it started, so get interviews with the manager, players and get highlights of development squad, youth team games. Its only the price of a match day ticket or one night on the lash for a12 months subscription. :)

It’s depressing enough having to sit in the stands and watch the dross on display without paying out extra cash to watch more of it!

I will wait until the window is shut before i condemn the managet he has inherited a team which is all over the show and with a couple additions it might kickstart us but we will have to wait and see.

Ridgewell loan is totally pointless and baffling ( The norm for MM! ) I believe he was shocking yesterday!

The LS/DS has never gone away! Maybe the names have been dropped but the personnel are just the same! Fans who opine when things are patently wrong and those that maintain a blind faith to their club! As for Martinez, he fucked off regardless and has done nothing since to prove he is the best manager in the World which is what that madhead of a chairman tried to suggest! Burnley tasted the so called nectar of the Premier League albeit briefly but they managed to return without capitulating as a relatively small club so why are we falling like a stone? Look no further than Whelan, he is at the helm of this sinking ship but I bet he won’t go down with it, he will jump ship anon!

Let’s not split hairs hey Grandad, we were 3-1 down before we made our last sub, so why not hang on or even break the law and give him 1/2 an hr or is that asking far too much ?. I suppose it was a good learning curve for Cosgrove, finding out who sits near the windows on the coach and freezing his knackers off thinking I could do better.

I see where your coming from owd un whilst our defenders where shite and taking off an injured Ramis and replacing him with a striker would be a brilliant decision I trust your cv is in the post to the DW
Well starting with Cowie and McClean upfront is baffling and so replacing a defender with a striker wouldn’t have exactly looked too madcap really would it!

Cowie and McClean leading the line? I fuckin give up!

If those two manage to turn this around then I will very gladly eat my words! No further conceding and a couple more like that from McClean and I will be happy! :cheer:
