I have heard that Prince Philip has shown an interest in taking over the club!
My tip of the day runs in the opener at Haydock Park- ‘Matthew Riley’.
4-5 ! I reckon Third Intention will give it a race!
Whelan is old school and set in his ways which isn’t a crime in my view! Loads of people of that ilk still say ‘Chinky’ instead of Chinese when talking about Chinese takeaways, I know I do! Loads of folk still refer to Jewish people being careful with money, why is that offensive? I have told a few ‘Jewish’ jokes over the years! There is an issue with the homophobic and racist remarks though that cannot simply be brushed under the carpet. The FA should make a decision on what they are going to do and quickly, then we can get on with the game of football!
Why are we even listening to a man who used to be on tele dressed up in a daft emu/ostrich costume? But can you remember the ostrich’s name? No cheating like I had to do!
Where do we fit Paul Jewell in?When we play away from home! ;)
But after listening talk sport etc all the way back from Carlisle tonight, then reading the young uns (latics fans) comments on social media, I have to say my back was right up. Siege mentality, fck em attitude, not felt that for a whileThink it’s match made in heaven, hopefully we’ll be able to keep him for a bit
On another note this country has gone downt pon
So you got the job of going to pick Grant up! :)
John Terry and Rio Ferdinand in centre of defence!
We are only 12 points (4 wins) from a play-off place. We win 4, others lose & suddenly everything becomes rosy again. If we can get into the top half by january – who knows. If we win 4 on the trot we would be about 12th, unless all the other teams don’t play at all!
Of course fill i agree not all teams will drop points, but IF we could win 3 or 4 on the bounce, it WILL push us up the table as the teams above us (which at this stage is a lot of teams) will play each other & hence take points off each other. Therefore we move up the table – providing off course we do win 3 or 4 on the bounce.
Don’t get me wrong, I aint knocking it but it will take an almighty effort if we are to challenge for a play off spot! Perhaps we should maybe write this season off as a promotion effort and just get back to being a decent side who can be up there next season! A top 8 finish would be a good effort in the circumstances!
We all, have or have had the shouty boss at work which works at first then it wears thin and plain old annoys to the point you do less and less.
Then we have the boss who likes to use the more calm approach, motivate the players and come across as your friend rather than your boss and talk things through then raise the roof only when it’s needed.
Rosler from day one could be heard in all 4 stands, how long can you keep that up for and still keep the respect of the players ? , been bawled at 24/7 ?. I remember watching a Brentford match on Sky were they interviewed a Brentford player on the pitch after the game. He was asked whats it like with the new manager (not long after Rosler had gone, he replied something like “Well at least we don’t get shouted at all the game and our ears bent”.
I just hope we have someone who can piece this mess together, and gain the respect of the players. A play-off place is not out the question

So will she be handing in her notice due to the big pedophile ring that is allegedly operating within Westminster! Not forgetting the latest murder probe!
But will a new manager invigorate us or are we destined to go Down DownYou can’t duplicate song titles!
Well I must have said it ‘Forty Five Hundred Times’ that Rosler’s tenure was on thin ice and thanks to Whelan’s ‘Good Thinking’ the German’s managerial position is now ‘Over and Done’ !
What’s this 95% ? Does he think that 95% of the population love football? Or am I missing something here? I would say it’s about 50%
54 PTS is the target then, but under the form created by the tactics and selection policy of Uwe, that is a big ask, so we shall have to hope that we can make it to safety this year with between 42 – 54 pts but even that is going to be a hard slog and may require a Martinesque change in the old stubbornness gene.Who is Martin?
