Watson is a no no !
Regardless of lack of funds or quality players, being relegated is still considered to be failure where managers are concerned and that is why so many get potted shortly after taking their teams down despite being in a similar state clubwise as we were !
That’s where Roberto is different – he’s gone on to greater things!
Poppycock? He’s already done something that Moyes never could – taken Everton to a victory at one of the Big Four. It’s actually the first time that Everton have won at Old Trafford since 1992!
If you enjoy watching good football, why not sit back and enjoy it? Or are you preparing for the part of Scrooge?
I said poppycock to your claim below ! Only the Utd bit is right. They drew with Arsenal away, drew with Liverpool at home and beat Chelsea at home. Your quote below suggests that they have beaten all 4 away !
“It’s not just what Everton did, it’s the way that they did it. In ten years under Moyes, Everton never won once at Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea. Martinez has done it the first attempt”!
So he went to Utd and won. Big fkin deal. If the Barcodes can go to OT and win, anyone can. Whipping boys of the Prem Utd at the mo ;)
And he then goes to the Emirates and draws – wow wee. Not like we never won there is it?

United hadn’t lost since the end of September. Played 12, won 7, drawn 5 in all competitions. Goals for 25, goals against 10. I don’t think that many people predicted that Everton would match them and go on to win.
Arsenal too were in good form, sitting four points clear at the top of the Premier League. Nobody expected Everton to have more possession than them and come away with a draw.
Roberto has got them playing beautiful football too. You can deny it you must, but you know that it’s true. Why not sit back and enjoy it?
They beat Utd at Old trafford that is correct but your other claims are pure poppy-cock ! Everton haven’t even been to Stamford Bridge and Anfield this season !
Like many have said before on the subject of RM, it is clear that the better players he now has under him can pull off the style that he tried here, the difference being that he only had a modicum of success here with said tactics and would not divert from his mindset when needed and that is why eventually he failed.Sometimes teams just have to roll up their sleeves and battle hard and ugly in order to survive ! Regardless of lack of funds or quality players, being relegated is still considered to be failure where managers are concerned and that is why so many get potted shortly after taking their teams down despite being in a similar state clubwise as we were !Who can play in the front three?Ask Rosler, he is the one who said it ! Maybe Whelan should have interviewed you, by the sounds of it you are a tactical genius influenced by the best manager in the World*
* Quote from Dave Whelan ! :cheer:
He is going to adopt a 4-3-3 formation as well he said ! Things are just about to change……For the better !!
This takes some beating though ! What a weekend that was ! Happy days !
Instead of the ooooh – aahh chant nicked from Zulte why not shout in the same way ooooh – vay ( Uwe )!
Tin hat required edinburghlatic the knownouts will be on the war path
I don’t know of anybody who has ‘Come Out’ on here !
It is thought Martinez rejected a deal with Aston Villa worth around twice his current contract because of the faith chairman Dave Whelan has placed in him over the course of his time at Wigan
This indicates that Martinez did care! The next year, he turned down Liverpool.
So Martinez gave us two more years and a successful trip to Wembley.
He was always bound for greater things. We were lucky to have him for four years.
Contrary to popular belief, Liverpool did not offer RM a job ! You love Bob don’t you Barnsley ! I would say that you are the ‘Bobsessive’ one here ! ha ha ha Statistically ( Win ratios ), Steve Bruce has been our best manager in the Prem who has managed 50 games and over with a 33.82% win ratio compared to RM’s meagre 28.98% win ratio ! Steve Bruce left us and he was vilified for it whereas RM left us and wasn’t ! FA Cup win swings it RM’s way but that is the only reason ! :)
The actual squad have opted for skating………On thin ice !
If we are to reach the play-offs, realistically we would have to win more than half of our remaining 28 games, it’s possible but we need to put a decent run together anon !
RM knew he was going to Everton come the end of last season back in January !
Who remembers the Brentford Nylon tv adverts ?
The Everton thing ( Moyes to Utd and RM to Everton ) was planned a lot longer than many like to think ! With hindsight the John Stones business looks more transparent when you consider the fact that Baines was always going to follow Moyes to Utd ! Call it a conspiracy but it is certainly food for thought !
Not to mention total bollocks!!
Name your source, Phil
Sweet and sour source, I got it from my local Chinese takeaway ! ;)
