I honestly can’t name one !

Our Maude, every time the conversation turns to football she makes me laugh.
I was going to say the other day that women in everyday life can be very amusing but put them on a stage with a mic in their hand and they are just not funny at all !

How come his side has so many clean sheets, something that is a far cry from when he was here ! I’ll tell you why, far far better players ! Bigger club and better players, who can really blame him for leaving ‘Little Wigan’ !

The wife of a mate of mine once told that joke as “… sold his soul to Father Christmas” and wondered why no-one laughed

It’s a well known fact that women are shit at telling jokes !

That comment also applies to the likes of Sarah Millican and Shappi Khorsandi who are quite simply not funny ! Call me sexist but women are not funny when on a stage telling jokes !

Got bollocks eh? Hes dead right. He inherited a relegated side thats used to losing games for years. The team dont have a winning mentality and never have had. People let two games in a cup run shroud their judgement.

If we know anything about Whelan its that he wont be bullied by fans. Remember the Martinez out chants alongside the banners. Fickle lot are singing his name today. Win our game in hand and we are well placed. About time some on here got it in perspective. We dont have a god given right to be in the premier league.

On the odd occasion Fortune and Holt have been on the pitch at the same time they have caused problems for opposing defenders !

I heard that he has said that he wants to leave. Coyle to his credit has apparently stated that if his desire to play for Wigan isn’t there then he won’t play him.
Not sure if this is true, but if it is, we should get shut asap. Well done OC.

What’s OC’s excuse for not playing Espinoza then?

He got 9 mins last night and has to try and make a mark.
He’s another one who isn’t as good as everyone seems to think he is. Like McManaman, it seems that all you have to do to become a Latics Legend is string together three half-decent performances on the bounce.

                        Decent player Espinoza, that’s all.
Even so a I would settle for a decent player at the moment.
I remember seeing the highlights of the game he played for Honduras against Brazil in the Olympics last year, he was clapped off the field by both sets of players when he was sent off for his second bookable offense. I’ll judge his playing potential by that reaction rather than someone who has seen him start couple of games and several 5-10 minute cameos.

One of the comments taken from below that link……

“Espinoza is such a beast. He gets a red card and still gets a round of applause from all the Brazil players and the fans in the stadium. Would love to see him in Europe”.

RE would be a better option than our current left sided mish mash of players ! :)

The ES2 mimicking of the Zulte fans was met with laughter and smiles by everyone sat around us. Not sure about being cringeworthy, I thought it had a positive effect on the home crowd. The old sense of humour bypass is obviously evident amongst a minority !

Agreed – felt v sorry for the lad.

And when you say there were others far worse than him – he didn’t even play badly at all. Along with Powell he was our best player and the midfield lost all structure when he was subbed.

Don’t know he bothers sticking with us.

Think you’ll find after this season, he won’t [taps nose]
No need for nose tapping Griff, every man and his dog knows that he wont be around much longer ! ;)

It’s comments such as those from readers on there though that make me want RM to do well at Everton.

He is constantly berated for us struggling and going down without anyone taking into account our budget, the fact he was told to trim the wage bill, our standing alongside those we finished above time and again. I doubt we’d have been waltzing into Europe with someone else at the helm. We’d have faced the exact same struggles.

To be fair the comments were aimed more at the fact that Utd would never employ a manager who had just taken a team down ! DW’s comments on the other hand are quite simply laughable ! :)

Leave me out of your bickering ! My hats are legendary in certain circles ha ha ha ! I dont really give a fcuk what happens to RM now but I have had a bet with my mate that Everton don’t finish in the top 8 and so I hope that comes off as it is £20 ! RM’s time with us was very much up and down with the emphasis being on down but we did win the FA Cup and we must thank him for that !

To be fair it isn’t as though he bought him and didn’t use him – that may have been considered a waste. Kone has an injury – could happen to anyone. I don’t think you can pin that on Martinez wasting money.

I wasnt referring to his injury as the cause of the waste of money, he has been a flop so far by all accounts and I just think that the injury will now see him disappear into oblivion where Everton are concerned !
So why mention the injury at all? Surely if it was as bad a buy as you say and he was already such a flop, then the money spent was already a waste?

The tacit implication is that had he not got injured he may have actually proved not to be a waste of money.

This Martinez baiting is getting very tedious now. I don’t know who you think you are winding up or annoying because every single crticism you all come up with gets logically, reasonable and calmly batted back at you.

You lot need to calm down. You’re all too old to be getting this het up
I mentioned the injury because it will see him well and truly into the wilderness as far as his Everton career is concerned, in other words he wont be seen again playing for Everton’s first team ! I also have another criticism and that is your spelling of it ! ;) Bloody rubbish author ! ;)
