I reckon nobody will pay that for him – in fact the other clubs at the wrong end of the table will be hoping that he stays at the DW, because he sure as hell aint going to single-handedly keep Wigan up, like N’zog did.

Wasnt there some “Contractual Issue” which limited his appearances for Blackburn?I wonder what they were.
He had a clause in his contract if he played a certain number of games for the first team it triggered another year. Same as Salgado hence why neither have played, nowt to do with his footballing ability.

if qpr are really intrested in hugo, how about swap deal. hugo, plus cash and dj campbell, got afew goals for blackpool last season, could be worth a puntCan’t see Bob being interested in dj campbell wouldn’t be able to play the loan striker I don’t think.
Has potential but doesn’t score goals and his final ball is naff. Not the end of the world if he leaves providing we get a big transfer fee for him and reinvest the money in the team :)

Hope there right I think the whole club could do with a lift and from the little I’ve seen of Maynard he looks pretty good.
Top and tail of it is we are not a big enough club to survive in the Prem and we have been punching above our weight for too long now ! We have been continually ridiculed by tv pundits, the media and opposing fans for our bad gates. Now the inevitable decline in the standard of our squad for all the obvious reasons has caught up with us and I would be very surprised if we stay up come the end of the season ! If we do go down the squad will suffer further and it remains to be seen who will come in. What I will say is that from what I have seen over the last couple of seasons from RM’s tactics,starting line ups and contingency plans I think he has underachieved and perhaps could have fared better with the hands he has been dealt so to speak, but hey that’s just an opinion ! It does seem to be quite evident that there is transition ahead for WAFC and its ownership and DW has been very wary with his finances of late and who could blame him ! I will say that I have continued to go on every home game and do my best verbally to gee the lads on but it has on the whole so far this season been pretty shit if we are all going to be honest with ourselves ! Circumstance I’m afraid, it really is quite simply down to that !Amen brother.
Thing is it’s not only this season he’s been poor. He was poor all last season too.Since he came it has been single episodes of quality. No doubt he has it in him, but he has never been consistent for us. I don’t think we are the team Hugo needs. Stick him up front for arsenal and he would be happy.
Get a fee and let him go on his way, in turn gaining a shed load on wages.
He has never looked comfortable since Bob came, he does not suit the system and is certaily not a winger. It takes us back to the same old arguement about picking a formation your players can play rather than making them play one they can’t.
Not wanting to tempt fate but we have apparently agreed a fee with Bristol City and are discussing personal terms with the player. According to Sky it looks good for going through, and he can score goals just hope he makes the step up quickly as we need him now.
No pressure though.
