Sounds like you’re stressing & worrying about it donny. Just relax & everything will be alreet. Like me you have supported this club for the same length of time so will have seen good times, bad times, worrying times & ecstatic times. Just enjoy the ride. I am.
Sorry JR but we just remember the class act we had the last season we were in this league and the way we played the game then and walked the league. But that was THEN & this is now.
Take away the penalty we conceded, & i haven’t seen the action yet – damn recording of FL show stopped on me just after walsall game :( but we would have won 3 – 2 & people would have been happier.
As i said donny, just relax – its only a game. The refreshing thing for me this season is that win, lose or draw i just dont get myself ecstatic or depressed anymore by the result. This season is like watching wigan of old where i went to the game & just watched it.
Dont be fooled by my attitude as yes i do want us to win promotion. But if it doesn’t happen i’ll still be there for my 39th season. Ohhhh anniversary coming up ;)
Donny, its only a game!!
& his promise of champions league football at the start of his appointment could either be seen as a joke, utter stupidity or delusional.
Donny he has only been in the job a year (less than that probably). He is therefore still a rookie manager. Clubs will perhaps monitor him in about 2 – 3 seasons providing he maintains his success. Anyway, who says he is leaving. He might love the club & want to stay. Some managers do that.
I missed the game due to work but i predicted beforehand either a tight 1 – 0 victory or a draw.
If we play the way we did .v. bury then i predict a very comfortable win. If peterboro’ come to defend which i think they will, then it will be either a draw (like oldham) or a tight 1 – 0 victory.
Ain’t felt like this for a long a nervous wreck. Everything crossed for Gary and the lads tonight C,Mon Wigan.
First & foremost, just got to concentrate on our own game. After that, Burton may not find it easy at Sheff Utd and Gillingham at Fleetwood. If lady luck is on our side we could go top !
So far both coventry & gillingham losing.
That was a very good read rich. Hopefully there will be more from you soon young sir.
You think it would be busy after such a significant win as yesterday but that’s football forums and human nature for you. You’re one of the main moaners though when we lose.
Im only 10 minutes walk from runcorn town’s ground, who are not the main team – that title belongs to runcorn linnets, who im led to believe is the runcorn team we played in the FA cup in the 90’s. Funny how such a small town can have 2 football teams. I keep saying i’ll go & watch one of them one of these days but have never got round to doing it.
Runcorn did you have a bet on itNo it was just a gut feeling.
If they need a lift to widnes its only 5 minutes over the bridge for me.
At least it’s less travelling for Anglesy Warrior; but what about those Whitehaven Warriors
We your local team then?

Is that comment aimed at me egg. If so here i go again. I am a born & bred wiganer since 1972. Started to support latics from season 1978 so yes latics are my local team for 38 seasons now. I moved to runcorn in 2004 c/o my wife who is from here. So there is no need to throw any stones in my house.
Oh & dont forget oldham doing us a favour as well.
Hehe! Told you we’d win 2 – 1.
