I’m quite sure you aren’t but if our chairman hadn’t opened his mouth you wouldn’t now be trying to defend yourself.
So what if he did? You can’t go round accusing people of things because someone else is. It’s exactly that sort of attitude that causes Daily Mail readers to hurl around stereotypes that are insulting.
Is this Chris Manning chap involved in football or Bolton in any way? If not and therefore is not governed by any football jurisdiction what are you expecting to happen if you complain?
No but he’s governed by laws of the land that prevent libel, and his club would ban him if he shouted illegal abuse at a match.

“Limpdicks” is just an insult – I can accept that as banter.
To me though being called “racist” is offensive.
Technically as they have called you and I racists I suspect any one of us could personally sue for defamation of character and libel.

The players we have on the field should be able to get wins. We look at the starting eleven – it looks fine – but as soon as they cross that line they go to pieces. Under three managers now they have done that.
So what’s the common factor over that time? The backroom staff?

Sam Cosgrove looks good too. Both are actually Under-18s – we need to be giving them first team experience, to bring them through. They at least seem to know which way the banjo should be held, and which end of the cow to aim at.
I have been defending him to the hilt. That he is only a bit older than me, and I know that such things were the norm etc etc etc. I keep saying that he is not calling people those names now, he’s just reflecting that’s how it used to be.
But I’m afraid I’m losing patience. He has no need to say anything now. Just keep quiet. Why does he give an interview with a Jewish newspaper that obviously has an agenda with what he has/is alleged to have said?
Please Dave – listen to the people in the club who are advising you, and trying to keep some control of the situation.
It is clear they are worried that our younger elements will repeat the songs sung at Sheffield, giving the press and authorities the right to say “See – youngsters have been influenced by his comments and think it’s OK to be racist”. The club’s statement yesterday warning about language is clearly a pre-emptive strike to the FA that we are doing all we can to avoid it.
But DW is not helping. Not in the tiniest bit.
