Now, had we still been in the Premier League that could have been different as PL rules on ground shares state that the PL fixture must take precedence over any other fixture.
Applies in the Football League too:
“13.5 Except in cases where a Club seeks consent to enter into a ground-sharing agreement with another Club, it shall be a condition of any such consent that the ground-sharing agreement shall contain provision to ensure that:13.5.1 the playing of any of the Club’s first team matches will always take precedence over the activities of the other party to the agreement; ……..”

However the matter has obviously been amicably agreed between Latics, Charlton and Warriors. If it had been an issue then Latics would have had first call, but clearly Charlton have been accommodating too.
I have a feeling it could be gary caldwell next :-PBut does he want to be MP?
As opposed to “this here” intellect? ;)
I thought political interference in football was very much frowned upon.

Have you been drinking?
I know this is a long shot but Wigan are around 80/1 to get promoted, it could be worth a tenner. It would certainly make your season more interesting if they went on a run. Last season Leicester and Burnley hardly dropped points but it’s not like that this season. Also call me thick but how do you quote someone when you want to reply to their point. I have tried on my iPad i click quote but nowt happens?
Just typing this reply on my iPad. No problem with quotes. :/
Neatly summarised.
But how do we know your summary is accurate.
Could be even more entertaining than Get Me Out of Here, even with JB
Is it true the club is up for sale by DW …I don’t mean to be rude, but how on Earth would any of us know that, even if it were true?
whelan been on granada reports and says he has no one lined up, then again yesterday he said rosler was still the man for the job. Never liked pulis when he was at stoke but think he would do a good job, but do we want to play the “stoke way”.If it’s better than the Rosler way and the Coyle way – then I’ll give it a go
I can remember when he first came and he played a very high line constantly pressing the oppoition quite like southamptons style last season. Then… we just stopped playing that way, players became very unfit and it just went downhill. Im mystified as to with such a deep squad we find ourselves in this position but agree he had to go.Exactly. People are saying “how can he have suddenly become a bad manager having got us to the play-offs from an awful position last year?”.
I don’t know how, but the fact is that the style has changed, the confidence has gone, the fitness levels he insisted on are nowhere to be seen, the fast moving style of play he espoused has not appeared.
I don’t know why. But it has. And so, I’m afraid, it is time for a change before it’s too late to save the season.
“Whelan backs Rosler”
His fate was sealed :)
I hope I’m wrong but I get the feeling Rosler isn’t bothered about the Development Squad. Roberto was always at their games – I don’t know if Uwe bothers.
When he first came to the club we had you may recall a meeting of a few website representatives with him. I asked him whether he knew of any good youngsters in the Development Squad. He answered not unreasonably at the time that he had just arrived so was concentrating on the First Team. Reasonable enough, but something in the way he said it gave me the impression that he wouldn’t change that view even a year down the line.
He isn’t, I feel (with no basis in fact for believing it by the way) bothered about Youth Development, or who we have on the books that can be brought through. I hope I’m wrong, but we all know that one of the ways we are going to survive in coming years is in us being a “develop and sell” club. You may not like it, but it’s true.
And for the sake of that I hope Rosler has good contact with teh Development coaches, if not actually shifting himself to go and have a look himself sometimes.
That’s one of the (many) things wrong with the modern game. You don’t have to “understand” it.
Kick round bouncy thing into square (alright, rectangular) netty thing.
The game has become far too complex with so many sub-plots. Trying to make it an intellectual exercise is ridiculous, not to say ironic considering the IQ of most of those who play professionally.
I’m off to see Argentina v Portugal at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
Messi v Ronaldo.
