Yep but need to get the right starting eleven before you stop changing it….how is Maloney not getting on?
I don’t know. But then I don’t see them in training every day or have constant reports of their fitness.
Lesson. If you have predictive text then review what has been written before pressing “submit”.
Football has changed from the 1980s.
Teams no longer pick the same XI week in, week out, playing the same formation and style.
The game is far more dynamic now, selecting starting XIs by a whole variety of parameters – opponents, home or away, player fitness, player form, pitch conditions etc etc. Then during the match things are changed constantly (both team on the pitch and formation) to counter how the opponents are playing, what the score is, what weaknesses the manager identifies in either team, what strengths he identifies that he can utilise, and so on.
The game is far different now.
I don’t know about the poor players, JR, surely we want the better ones? ;)
Never mind all that.
Where do you get those jigsaw puzzles? :P
…. and stock up on the single malts!
Good post, horc.
Now then. If anyone disagrees, then say so now. The thank yous seem to indicate that in general we think the dealings have been good. Correct?
What always happens of course is that if it goes pear shaped for any one, then some smart donkey on here says “I knew it wouldn’t work. Why did we buy him? We should have (usually written as ‘of’) bought X. I knew it all along.”
So come on. Let’s be having you. Speak now or forever hold your peace about how you always knew….
Did you know he broke his leg?Well if he got any compensation I reckon he should have invested it in a small business.
But what do I know?
We do have great expectations of him though.
So after about a month without a home game, youngsters who either have school the following day or have early bedtimes won’t be able to go.
The club is selling its future soul.
Anyone know why the tv wasnt on in the east stands on Saturday.
Not on in the West either.
Overheard a couple of complaints to the staff on the concourse…”we only run the bars” was the reply
Hoping it was a technical hitch that will be sorted for Saturday.
Seems a reasonable reply to me.
Enough of this. Get back to discussing football.
We got three points today. Discuss that. This is a football forum.
If you want to rant then try here.
12,113 according to BBC
I’m quite ambivalent to it.
Booing at half time or during the game is counter-productive. But IF (and that’s IF in capitals) they play badly then booing is the only way to let them know. The game is over and they can think about that before the next game. We’re not putting them off – they’ve already performed badly. If you go to a concert and the band keep hitting wrong notes, or go to see a comedian who is just not funny (seen a few of them) – you boo.
I know there are people who disagree.
Well… tough.
people really cant be arsed anymore the club is in decline and fans know it.
What fans?
This board is not helped by having a sarcastic rugby loving dickhead as a moderator.
