Speedie apparently got himself into a fight and was sustituted before he was sent off
No – although I have nicked it for my Facebook status.
Shevy has done this research well :)
Figueroa’s handball was a spot-on penalty shout last year.
Happy New Year everyone.
Hope it’s a good ‘un.
Yes it does. It will achieve nothing.
Whenever anyone comes on here criticising whelan point them in the direction of those crazy chicken farmers
At least they’ve got some ambition, ruthless in the pursuit of success, Whelan could learn alot from them.
Are you saying Whelan isn’t ruthless? There’s an awful lot of people, a number on this board, who from personal experience wouldn’t agree with you. I’m afraid your comment shows a lack of understanding of business management.
Being “ruthless” alone doesn’t guarantee success. What is needed is a clear focus of where you want to be, getting the personnel in who can deliver your vision, taking action when necessary to alter the situation to get things going in the right direction. The ruthlessness comes in actually doing some of those things – to get the right personnel in may mean sacking someone or to get things going in the right direction may mean shutting a number of shops or changing supplier etc.
Just sacking an underling (ie the manager and his staff) without a clear replacement who will genuinely deliver your vision when the predecessor wasn’t given any time to put other parts of the plan in place is not ruthless (well, it is, but not with any purpose), just desperation.
DW for me every time.
Forest manager gone too after 5 months.
Blackburn’s greatest loss will be the same as ours was – the loss of Eric Black, an excellenet second-in-command.
another fiasco from the ref, some folk say cant blame the ref i say looking at the last six games or so refs have helped the result against us
so whats the point throw in the towel resign from prem league tell them fook off
thats how bad i feel about this shyteDon’t be daft. We dust ourselves down, have the craic in the pub, and laugh off this perceived persecution. We live to fight another day, and we will have our day. And when we do, that first pint will taste all the more sweeter. We ain’t dead yet.
Exactly. And when we do shuffle off this mortal coil of Premier League lunacy – we’ll have a damn good wake.
I’m just waiting out of the way.
Merry Christmas everyone!!
Pity really that you didn’t want a ticket when we played QPR or Fulham or Reading.
But that wouldn’t have been the same, would it?
They did announce on Saturday that tickets would be available from teh Bullens Road ticket office on the day
As I said before the ref was intent on Arsenal winning the game
Simple question – why would he?
Referees are at times incompetent – they have an off day. They will accept that.
I’m afraid I don’t go along with the theory that they deliberately give decisions against us. They may be subject to pressures in their own heads that make them tend to give decisions to teams with a high profile, because they know those decisions will be analysed closely by the pundits.
Unfair – yes. Lack of bottle – probably. Corrupt – no.
Law 4 which deals with players’ equipment:
“A player must not ..wear any equipment that is dangerous to himself or another player (including any kind of jewellery)……..
In the event of an infringement of this Law….the player is only permitted to re-enter the field of play when the ball is out of play”.
So, although I was hurling abuse at him about this, and he got lots of other things wrong, he was actually correct in this instance.
“Beaujosor”?
Absolute garbage spelling
I’m in Abu Dhabi at the moment, sudders. Do you happen to know the best connection for me to get to Norwich in time for the match, and then be back for dinner? Any help would be gratefully accepted.
