There is a boycott of buying/reading the muen by city fans, i advise fellow wigan athletic fans to do the same with the werp.
I haven’t bought that rag for years (and then usually only because there was a picture of my kids at some school event or other).
Their bias is nothing new. I suspect most Latics fans don’t buy it anyway already.
“It must be noted that no matches throughout the competition go to replays. If necessary, they are decided on the day by extra time and a penalty shootout.”
http://www.fa-carling.com/football-league-cup/fixtures-results/For future reference, the laws of association football state that the keepers kit must be distinguishable from all other players on the field of play both on their own team & the opposition (including the other keeper) :P :P
It’s clearly stated in the Laws:
“Kolory
● kolory ubioru zawodnikow obydwu druzyn musza ich odrozniac od siebie,
a takze od sedziego i sedziow asystentow,
● kolory ubioru kazdego bramkarza musza odrozniac go od innych zawodnikow, sadziego i sadziow asystentow.”
And I’d like to add:
Dwa pierogi I Tyskie prosze
You couldn’t feed a gnat with two pierogi, Standish – or did you mean two orders of…. ;)

I think that’s what I said.
We have no desire to issue any bans, never mind “banning everyone for sometimes going a little too far” – although remember that bans can be for, say, 24 hours to get things cooled down. We’re not talking banning from the board completely. That’s reserved mainly for spammers.
But anyone who disrupts the flow of the board, discredits the board, or “spoils it” for the majority should look at what they are hoping to achieve. It isn’t a matter of content. All opinions are welcome. It’s about maintaining the (and I’m sorry to use the word that was used earlier today and criticised, but it is aposite) dynamic of the board.
I know a significant number of internet-using Latics’ supporters who when I ask “do you look at Cockney Latic” respond “No – load of rubbish talked on there”. And they don’t mean the opinions about team performance.
The best option for all is to ignore what you think should be ignored rather than rising to it.
I should however also point out that this is not just about one poster – it is a general thought. Bans however are a last resort, and are unlikely to happen. I hope.
I agree this is the correct route. Ignoring anything you think unreasonable is preferable to rising to the bait.
Moderators are loathe to hand out bans just because someone is talking rubbish – if we did that there would be no-one left :cheer:
But if anyone appears to be deliberately winding up, provoking, going off-topic, then I am quite sure bans will follow.
people who dont go to games should not be allowed to post on here ino.
To be absolutely clear – they are allowed to post. In fact anyone who supports Latics in whatever way is encouraged to join in. I don’t know why people do or don’t go to particular games. I don’t ask. Everyone has their own reason. Some may be reasons I think are feeble, some I may think are sound. It’s actually none of my business.
I go to a lot fewer games than I used to. It doesn’t make my opinion any more or less valid.
Watson should not be in the squad never mind the starting 11 ! A joke !Lovely phrase from someone in the comments section of the Guardian for the match:
“ben watson is lucky he’s not a horse, or he’d be glue by now.”

There is of course the old (apocryphal) story that a survey was done to find out which was England’s Second City.
The results from Manchester indicated that they thought the second city was Manchester.
The results from Birmingham indicated they thought the second city was Birmingham.
The results from Liverpool indicated they thought the second city was London.
I’ve seen what he said, and as there is clearly a criminal offence that covers this then anyone who has been targetted by his comments should make a complaint to the police.
I won’t delete, but I will lock this as there is nothing that we on this site can do, and we should not be drawn in to a war of words that will degenerate, and or potentially prejudice any legal action. People involved should complain, and let the law takes its course.
Schedule 12of the Criminal Law Act 1977:
“(1) A person who without lawful excuse makes to another a threat, intending that that other would fear it would be carried out, to kill that other or a third person shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction on indictment to imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years.”
Quote – “Wigan have won none of their last 11 Premier League games against Fulham (W0 D6 L5)”Bit of a bogey team for us, wont surprise me if we draw… or lose!
Or win.
How we have done against a team in previous years has no bearing whatsoever on tomorrow’s game. If managers and players get it into their heads that they will lose “because they always do against these” then we may as well all go home. Paul Jewell used to instil that idea against Liverpool.
But Roberto had a different mindset against Man U last season.
Tomorrow will prove difficult, as Fulham are no pushovers, but we should be able to beat them.
I will be going somewhere that is open.
I went to Sunderland once. It was closed.
I’m not going again.
