Other clubs have them – they’re quite widespread – and no, they won’t get you anywhere else, just as your bank card will not get you someone else’s cash from a machine.
They’re chipped.
Not the only Italian to abandon ship recently
There was a play in the Superbowl on Sunday when the Patriots had 12 players on the pitch. They did get penalised though.
The media get their way again. Bring in the next lamb to be slaughtered.
I actually agree with this comment what about puttin Oliver Holt in charge
No. He had to go. It’s not about whether he was a good manager or not (not, in my opinion, but that’s irrelevant) or whether Terry should remain as captain (again my opinion is not).
But if Capello disagreed he should have been saying this in private to the FA. He had put whoever would take over the captain’s role in an untenable position. Knowing that the manager doesn’t want you, and would prefer (and maybe discuss things with) someone else in the squad.
That cannot be right for team discipline and harmony.
Of course it would have been resolved earlier if Terry had stood down from the captaincy (“pressures”, “mental strain” etc make a great temporary excuse). But we can’t expect England’s captain to act honourably can we?
I’ve just had to Google the lyrics to Fernando because of you – I couldn’t think what the original words were that “have you seen the queue” could have alluded to (I got the “for Nandos” bit).
I find that they don’t.
Sorry – 1/10 from me.
And why are you with your missus shopping anyway?? :P
Or the opportunity for more short passes to be made in our own half.
We could also have three players ready to accept a short corner.
I’m a nobody too. Not sure still whether I’m going, but I won’t be walking if I do. It’s a struggle to get to the corner shop these days :(
Completely for the concept though – but if everyone walks then there’ll be no-one to contribute, will there? :cheer:
They can also be used by all the comunity. Schools or local clubs could use them midweek without being turfed off (pun completely intentional) because they would damage the grass.
Anybody know ?
Seem to remember them having a pay turnstile at past games.Ali,i always thought Prem Lesgue rules banned match day sales.
No, not at all. We sell on match days unless it’s a bigger game
Boo’d off I’m told.First game n all
(How the chuff do you spell boo’d)
“Left the field to a chorus of boos” :cheer:
A few weeks ago DW was talking about handing over the running of the club to his Grandson David. Since then there have been all sorts of rumors eminating from Malaysia about a buyout. I noticed on the perimiter advertising on Saturday a Malaysian Property Development Company were advertising, anyone heard any more about this ?There are loads of Asian adverts around the stadium on match days (football that is) as that’s where the TV audience is. There are Thai and Vietnamese ads regularly.
Don’t know why the advertisers aren’t targetting the Asian viewers of rugby league though ;)
Can I suggest this?
Depends who their Dads supported, and also there were times in living memory when Everton were quite successful and were known for playing attractive football (they were known as “The School of Science”).
Surely if you were a Wigan lad and wanted to chose a premiership team to follow other than Wigan, Everton would be the last team to choose.!!
Man they are a dull team zzzzzzzzzzz
But my point is that it wasn’t always so.
This isn’t Subbuteo or FIFA where you lay out players in set formations.
These numbers mean nothing in themselves and they alter through a game. 4-5-1 at times, can mean 4-3-3 when the wingers are pushing up, or 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 when a wing defender moves forward. Things are fluid and so all this pseudo-maths is a bit pointless. Players are given a role not a place on the field to stand.
