Learn the players names?
Why bother? I am hoping quite a few won’t be here long enough for it to matter.
A half hit shot that bounces through to Ali counts as a shot on target. Perversely a rocket shot that hits the bar counts as off-target. I never pay too much attention to them.
Could not go yesterday as I was in hospital was we that bad as wish FM said we where poorIf you were in hospital you were probably in better shape than they were. One of the worst performances for quite a while.
Almost certainly not Warren Joyce. After two days in the job he will not have seen enough of the players to put together the best team so Barrow et al will have chosen the team and dictated the tactics.
The real work starts now.Not sure I 100% agree. He now plays for the opposition. Applaud him at the end by all means – but during the game he is the enemy, and if we can put him off so much the better.
Runcorn you must have made a tidy profit then.
No! That would be cheating.
And if you did have insider information it would also be illegal
Easter rising? Is that something from bake off?No, that’s yeaster rising you’re thinking of.
I’m going to stick up for Barrow here.
There are good coaches, and good managers. Look at Eric Black when he was with us. Great coach – never made it really as a manager. To be honest Kenny Swain was the same.
Maybe – just maybe, and I really don’t know, but posit this suggestion – Barrow is a great analyst. Maybe he is on the side lines saying “look, boss, their left back has too much space”, or “they’ve changed formation” or “the number 15 has dropped back a fraction”. Maybe he is a great observer of those things. It’s then up to the manager to decide what to do with that, but it would be really useful to have someone alongside you who could at least point out the problems. Better still to have someone who also could provide solutions, but at the end of the day that’s the manager’s job, and if the assistant can do that then they should be manager.
I think a lot of work Barrow does is unseen, but vital. It’s easy to say he is the common link. But that is more than likely irrelevant. He clearly has a role that successive managers of differing styles have accepted.
… and they of course blab what’s going on to all and sundry (no offence).
It don’t work like that – or if it does then your friend needs to be more careful or they will find themselves out on their ear. Leaking business/commercial critical information is viewed by most organisations (not just football clubs) as a sackable offence.
Maybe you, too, need to be careful what you post about things you are privy to so you don’t get your friend in trouble. Senior staff at the club do read these sites, you know.
I actually knew on monday that joyce had been appointed.
How Runcorn?
Thats for me to know & you to find out ;)
We wont find out if you don’t tell us, its no use coming on here bragging you knew Joyce had been appointed 48 hours before the rest of us then refuse to tell us, people will think you’re telling fibs.
Surely not! ;)
Is it just me, by the way, who thinks that giving him a nickname that is based on a rather poor 1970s comedienne isn’t exactly giving us the aura of being a set of progressive and forward-looking fans?
Fine by me. Less chance of injury.
Don’t care what international teams do, as long as it’s not affecting our players.Chris McCann is injured and could be out for a month. Shudv stayed with us.So we could have paid him for being injured?
How does that work then?Surely you don’t think Big dave isn’t having a say in out next managerActually I doubt he is.
I use wish fm local station when not going to gamesYep. That’s what I do, and shall do today.
