I’m going watching United if Joyce takes over, I hope he proves me wrong we can’t afford to go down.
Surely affordability is the least of our concerns as supporters.
If we go down (as we did the other year) then I, and a hell of a lot of others here will carry on watching them. If they end up in the North West Counties I’ll still be watching them.
If you are so fickle about it, why not just go and watch United now?
There’s a big difference coaching a team full of young lads with their ears pricked ready to listen and learn then take over a club with ego’s and unhappy players languishing near the bottom and some wanting out in Jan
Or – maybe between managing a group of young players who are being paid a fortune, and haven’t a clue what hard work means, and are thinking they are the Johnny Big Whatsits and that success is going to come to them easily, or battle-hardened journeymen pros who know that their only chance of playing in the Prem, and attracting wages like that, is to fight and get the club they are with up the League.
I know there are all sorts of holes in the arguments both ways, but there are two different ways of looking at this, and personally I think managing a team of youngsters is actually a tough job, and if he’s done that well then he has experience.
Just googled Warren Joyce and according to Wikipedia he is Wigan managerBecause Wikipedia is where the club make all their official announcements.
Mark Warburton mentioned in some quarters.
Are Latics bigger than Rangers?
If PL in a couple of years could be an attraction to playing second fiddle to Celtic.No. Sharpy is a wise head on young shoulders and saw the damage that employing Mackay did. He feels for the club and won’t want that negative publicity again.
Didn’t stop us getting malkyI think we’ve learned from that. DS isn’t his grandad.
I made that point on Latics official FB page, but don’t seem to have a reply
More than likely it’s the only player they know
It is technically illegal to drink en route to any sporting event it just never gets policed as much
Coach companies have used it as an excuse when travelling to other sporting events, but only coaches travelling to football games are actually bound by law, no other sport.
Correct
The Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc.) Act 1985 prevents:-
drunken entry into a football ground (which, in practice, to be an arrestable offence includes disorderly behaviour);
the consumption of alcohol within view of the playing area including, during the restricted period (15 minutes before the start of the event to 15 minutes after the end of the event), rooms within the ground from which the event may be directly viewed;
the consumption of alcohol on certain coaches, trains and motor vehicles travelling to a designated football match;
the possession of fireworks or flares.
The Act applies to the following sporting events:-Association football matches in which one or both of the participating teams represents a club which is for the time being a member (whether a full or associate member) of the Football League, the Football Association Premier League, the Football Conference National Division, the Scottish Football League or Welsh Premier League, or represents a country or territory.
Association football matches in competition the Football association Cup (other than in the preliminary or qualifying round).
The Act only applies in England and Wales.The Act does not apply at grounds where a match is being watched on a screen as part of a ‘beam back’.

It appears to contradict itself by claiming the Scottish Football League in the first paragraph, but ending up at the bottom saying the Act only applies in England and Wales.
Am I missing something?
Berwick (and formerly Gretna)

We grew into the game because Burton tired.
We did put in a shift in the last quarter, but still couldn’t break them down.
And as for Bogdan? He is indecisive, but when he does make a decision it’s wrong. If we do have a financial penalty clause to pay if he doesn’t play a certain number of games, then I would pay it and get Juusi back in nets. You can hear Juusi shouting, cajoling, directing, encouraging. From Bogbrush? Nothing.Is this really you GL?
I blame that third glass of wine :)

Nothing.That’s exactly my reservations jayt, it seems these days that any new proposals or changes are solely to benefit the big clubs and the greed league.… or even worse, somehow make England world-beaters.
There is a plaice for these sort of jokes
There are however a few consessions to home fans, eg. cut price games and three for two etc, that can be instigated throughout the season at the clubs discretion. Not sure how many concessions they are allowed though.34.2.11 Discounts or special promotions (in each case for one match only) made available to supporters of the Home Club must also be made available on a similar basis to visiting supporters provided always that each Club shall be permitted to designate four (4) Matches per Season as ‘local promotion’ Matches where this Regulation shall be deemed not to apply. Clubs shall notify The League of the Matches so designated as and when they are designated.
