Davis Sharpe:
“In reality, Wigan’s population is not huge, under 100,000 people, it’s surrounded by big football clubs, it’s a working class town, the stadium for our fanbase is probably too big, it should only be around a 10,000 seater.
How do we achieve this 10,000 seater Stadium, David?
Fans have got to accept that our Championship team has been shredded by
the Admins, we are down to bare-bones to our previous teams and we
are building a team from scratch and with no money.4 September 2020 at 12:11 pm in reply to: New owners, “Were are you !!, let’s be having you!!” #189157Ashton Town are be better off than us, at least they have their own ground,
if they had a bit more investment they would have would have a very decent ground.Lenegan wants us at Leigh Sports Village, were Wigan Council give most of the
money to build it.Look at Ramsbottom United ground and Radcliffe FC were Bury AFC are sharing,
if the worst comes to worst, we will have to do a similar thing,
with a nearer ground like Ashton Athletic, Atherton Colls or Atherton L.RWe need to get away from these leeches as soon as possible as they
have left us with f-all.2 September 2020 at 11:56 am in reply to: New owners, “Were are you !!, let’s be having you!!” #189119Unless we get bought very soon, i think our League days will be over.
We will have to form a ‘phoenix’ club and start again as a non-league club,
this situation at present is nothing but torture and i think we are sick to
the back teeth with it all.We won’t have a pot to p””s in, when these Admins have gone.

I have donated £50 to the fund, it’s a pity i cannot afford a few noughts to it,
I don’t want a penny back, the enjoyment i’ve had over the years watching the Latics,
this is a splash in the ocean. What makes me mad, is all these Wigan multi-millionaires, who brag about
being dragged up in Wigan and have done very well for themselves,
can sit back and watch Wigan Athletic possibly going to the wall,
when a few thousand pounds from them could save the club. This is small change to them and yet they can see Latics fans
giving what little money they have to spare, to try and save the club. When these Wigan multi-millionaires, appear in Britain’s Richest List,
spare us ‘Wigan made me who i am Today’,
yet won’t help a football club in your own Town who have a great heritage in Wigan. You know the price of everything, but the value of nothing.
Lisa Nandy wants progress – not promises – from Wigan Athletic administrators.
Don’t we all.
23 August 2020 at 12:09 pm in reply to: New owners, “Were are you !!, let’s be having you!!” #188878The Admins have been ‘blowing’ hot and cold dealing with this crisis with our club.
they have built up our hopes and then dashed them the next.If we don’t get an owner by 31st August and we go into liquidation,
has all this stress been worth it?21 August 2020 at 12:34 am in reply to: New owners, “Were are you !!, let’s be having you!!” #188870I have posted this on another site.
Why would, Au Yeung Wai Kay write off £36m Wigan Athletic debt!,
if it was a Legal Claim? Is he running scared of a counter claim for fraud,
along with Dr Stanley Choi? They have put Latics fans through the wringer,
as we thought we could go the same way as Bury.Hopefully, we can concentrate on getting back to playing football in L1,
and put this ‘scam’ behind us.He’s signed AFC Bournmouth.
Newly-appointed Cherries coach Graeme Jones has a wealth of experience,
both as a player and a coach. The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport also said pilots will take place from August 1 but any stadium reopening would be subject to coronavirus guidelines.
However, according to a draft document from the Sports Grounds Safety Authority (SGSA), published in The Times, stadiums will be at a maximum of 33 per cent full and could be at as low as 17 per cent of capacity when fans return in October.
I think we should be ok with 33%, but 17% capacity could affect a few clubs,
but at least some income is coming in,How much was it costing Latics to play DW Stadium?
How much was it costing Warriors to play DW Stadium?
It would be great if it goes through,
we badly need some good news,
as my nerves, can’t take much more of this!We need a buyer and pronto,
i hope we can get this sorted, as the new season is just around the corner. When is the Deadline, that we have to confirm to the EFL,
that we have the funds to compete in League 1?After consultation the NWCFL formally withdrew their support for
Bury and the Isle of Man on July 6.Since the league made their stance clear,
FC Oswestry Town have resigned from the competition, creating one spot. This is the nightmare, we could face, if funds are not forth coming.
