And then I wake up and smell the coffee. It’s April 2011, we are rock bottom of the Premiership, and Beattie has played 9 games this season, due to inury and fitness worries, scoring 1 goal. And that went in luckily off his ar*e.
One more than Scotland will have by then
You sounds like the idiot who sits behind me in the East Stand. Always moaning. Left before the end of both the Burnley and Arsenal games…More fool him
21 July 2010 at 10:14 pm in reply to: I Do NOT Like What I Am Seeing And Hearing From The Club. #40759According to some people north of the border, McArthur is better than McCarthy:
“Personally I always thought he was better than McCarthy.”
“Agreed with RiG, i always thought he provided more as an all round midfielder as opposed to McCarthy, having both players in a team would be excellent for any club.”
In no particular order:
The whole of 2002/03. The way we comfortably won promotion. The League Cup run with wins over City and Fulham and the manner of our display v Blackburn.
Jason Roberts’ goal against Arsenal in the League Cup semi. Tremendous scenes.
Despite a 4-0 hammering, the Carling Cup final. Our first season in the top flight and our first major cup final. 90 minutes from Europe. A day that will live with me forever.
The whole of the 2004/05 season. We really should have won the league that season but seemed to stall over the line. A comfortable 3-1 win at West Ham. An easy six points against Leeds (Alan Mahon’s goal was superb). Baines’ goal at Ipswich, a 5-0 win on TV against Nob End. That week between the PNE game and the Reading game was horrible. Don’t think I slept a wink. Seeing all the newspapers the day after though (think I bought them all) and realising it wasn’t a dream.
Wembley 99. Ok, so the game was sh*t but as a 12 year old in a school full of glory hunting Mancs and armchair scousers being able to walk in on Monday morning with the biggest smile ever on my face was superb.
The 2005/07 Scotland kit is the one I was refering too btw
The socks look out of place. Blue socks with a white band on the left would have looked better, similar to the Scotland kit a few years ago.
Looks better on that pic but still gash.
The away shirt on that link looks good.
What – brown? Brown has never been a good idea for an away shirt (Coventry for example). Or a home one for that matter.[/quote]
Looks black to me
Looks better on that pic but still gash.
The away shirt on that link looks good.
Leighs ground is owned by the council as is widnes. Saints from 2011 have no ground and shall be playing at widnes. Hull fc also play at a ground owned by the council.
Renting your ground is the future ;)
North stand? So we’ve been there 11 years now and some of you still don’t know which stand is which. Saying that, some of you will have only had 5 years and some will have e en had to rely on the view from the foreign channel.
They must have done it discreetly then cos I didn’t spot it.
Not sure how offended wigan fans would have got seeing as we had one at catalans n london
Meh. I’ll hang on for the away kit
why not just have the winner of the league wins it?. you know the popper most of the topper most as Mr Lennon used to say!! ;)That would be my preference as well but we don’t
We can lose the first game and still win the GF. That’s the reward for finishing top – you get a second chance if you blow it.
Oh, and Salford are far from our rivals.
Didn’t Zaki used to do it.Until he buggered off.
He kissed his shirt a few times but don’t think he actually kissed the badge as such.
