According to reports Wigan Athletic are interested in former Valencia right-back Miguel Monteiro.
The Mirror claims Latics boss Roberto Martinez is hoping to bring in a new full-back.
Martinez was beaten on deadline day last week by Everton for former Barnsley defender John Stones.
However, it is understood the Spaniard is interested in Monteiro, who is a free agent.
