18 March 2013 at 2:20 am #105503Nice one Graham still got it !!Before my time as a player but they were my thoughts exactly!!!! Goooo on Rambarrow!!!
18 March 2013 at 2:35 am #105506Fair play to Barrow for gerrin quickly to the scene to protect one of his “babies”.
I think it was the mismatch of the century looking at the Newcastle posse, John [the saint] Carver and gang and the Wigan posse, Graham Barrow and Dennis Lawrence.I used to quite like the Geordies, but “I’ll tell you what, I’ll tell you what they’ve gone down in my estimation” slings off headphones with large antenna on side, onto floor and storms off.

What a journey!18 March 2013 at 2:52 am #105509Forgot to add “I’ll tell you what, I would love it just love it if they got relegated”

Couldn’t agree more, John.
I used to buy into them all being salt-o-the-earth “Why aye, man!” Geordies who drank like mad and were proper football folk.
Er no. Now I just see them as being major contenders for the Scousers “Always the victims” and “hard done to” crown.
One thing that definitely did happen yesterday, and you probably think this is a good thing, is that my support has been totally re-galvanized by the outpouring of hatred and dislike at our club and player, by all and sundry, after yesterdays game.
All this I “hope we go down” that I have ever come out with, and I HAVE, I admit I have said that (Due to disenchantment and tiredness of relegation scraps), several times, has totally gone out of the window. Maybe it was the wake up call I needed? My dad was a bit the same though, but after all what happened yesterday, we both came to the conclusion of “Really hope we stay up and get a really big one over all these p**cks who want us to fail”.
What I am saying, John, is….YOU WERE RIGHT. I apologize to you and to anybody else who I have ever said it to. I really mean that. I feel that every Latics fan should stand tall and stand proud, it’s obvious all those other clubs and fans have scant respect or regard for us….we never get any credit. Our young player makes ONE bad tackle….and he’s condemned that much…I’ve heard people calling for us to be RELEGATED because of it! Or that McManaman should get a 12 game ban.
These people HATE us, don’t they? How ironic that we are playing Millwall at Wembley who’s anthem is “No one likes us, We don’t care”.
I think Latics fans could sing it better than they can. And it would have more truth about it.
IT’S LATICS VERSUS EVERYBODY ELSE……isn’t it?

What a journey!19 March 2013 at 4:03 am #105626Is that all it needed Dave? Imagine how different the last 8 years could have been if this site was still hosted by Rivals??! ;)
