Our ex player and current Newcastle player Ryan Taylor was mouthing off on Twitter yesterday, condemning McManaman’s challenge as a “Shithouse challenge” and basically having a good pick at us.
I think he forgets who got him to the top flight in the first place. A very average player who got lucky on the back of a couple of decent free kicks. Me thinks even if he was fit….yes, he’s crocked again, he wouldn’t get in that Newcastle side.
No need for him to mouth off, showing a complete lack of respect to his employers.
Oh and Robbie Savage was mouthing about ‘the tackle’ as well.

In relation to the tackle, I actually thought he was talking a lot of sense (which is worrying) – basically he says that whilst it was a bad challenge & worthy of a sending off/retrospective ban that he would have expected him to challenge for the ball, that if he’d gone in half-hearted he would have ended up worse off & that it was just misjudged & not a malicious or nasty tackle
On Ryan Taylor I believe his nickname whilst at Latics was Trigger due to him being thicker than 2 short planks
18 March 2013 at 4:59 pm #105552Don’t think he’s mouthing off, a reasonable view IMO

Well Savage was all over 606 last night and facebook, kicking up a tarts-fuss about retrospective punishment for Mcmanaman.
This coming from he who was nothing but an hyperactive prick of a player, diving in where he had no right to.
“The spirits are very strong in here tonight….very strong. I’m getting the word….oh…hey! I’m gettin the word……..
Gobshite!”

[/quote]I had to read it five times to make sure it was written by Savage, it made that much sense. He made a lot of sense talking about our tactics, too.
Still hate the long-haired prick, though!!

18 March 2013 at 7:10 pm #105565Hardly an objective viewpoint though :)

I don’t suppose Taylor has any loyalties towards Wigan though. We used him as a part-ex for N’Zogbia.
There must be some bitterness as a result of that.

He must be pretty thick then for him to receive such an accolade from fellow football players. -
