Who thinks that this may drag on for a while ? Could be a smoke screen to keep him out of the limelight for a while ! Yes, he does have ankle trouble but he seemed perfectly fit to me the last time I saw him ! We shall see.
28 March 2013 at 1:56 pm #106521I would put him on bench for sat think the ref will be watching every move he makes
28 March 2013 at 2:08 pm #106525I wouldn’t play him for a while because the FA will want to right a wrong somehow and we don’t need the refs turning against us now !
28 March 2013 at 3:35 pm #106537Yes, he does have ankle trouble but he seemed perfectly fit to me the last time I saw him ! We shall see. :huh:I know you have a reputation for leaving games early but I hope you are aware he has come off injured in the last 2 games
28 March 2013 at 4:50 pm #106541It was clear he was brought off against Newcastle cause his vicious assault was affecting his play.
Hopefully he is fit, and hopefully he starts against Norwich. He could be the catalyst to survival this season.
28 March 2013 at 5:21 pm #106546You know that old saying of when you fall off a bike get straight back on it… If he is up for it then i would play him as he’s looked pretty decent of late.
The media hype will happen regardless of when he returns so better to get it out the way.
I hear what you say about him being singled out though??28 March 2013 at 5:26 pm #106549Anonymous

I’m sure he will get an appearance on next years calendar for you… :woohoo: :P

If fit just play him..clearly he has had an impact, the media will be wishing he will so they can deliver a story either way. Fantastic prem debut, go for it Callum!!!

There was nothing wrong with him when he went off the pitch against Newcastle ! Moments prior to him going off he was running around like a mad un !
I also don’t buy into this ref conspiracy lark either, but I am pretty sure that the FA will want to appease certain quarters !
29 March 2013 at 3:59 am #106596Jesus Man, I,ve refrained off this site for nigh on two yr, apart from a brief forage lately, but some things never change namely you, how negative are you, why seriously do you portray our club, Wigan Ath, as the team you follow, you always seem to find fault somewhere inside or outside of the club, do you not think it would be better, if you started to follow another club, your getting boring man, really boring
29 March 2013 at 11:56 am #106606If he’s fit then he should play.
The longer he doesn’t the more the mental strain and pressure on the lad will be.
The manager needs proof of his temprament as well.
It’s a massive game tomorrow and we need to win.
I hope he plays.

Why is this thread finding fault ? The same would apply to any club with this situation. Have you even bothered to read the replies ? I suggest you go back to your lurking unless you have something constructive to add ! Some people eh !!
29 March 2013 at 5:28 pm #106627McManaman, in the Everton game, went off with an ankle injury, shortly after scoring, the following game against Newcastle, he was doubtful upto the morning of the game, he then got subbed with a recurrence of the ankle injury, once again do you not watch games, according to you he ran off the pitch, with nothing wrong with him, your words not mine.

I did NOT say he ran off the pitch ! He was however running around like a whirling dervish moments before he was beckoned off ! The young lad was being booed and there was some serious vitriol being aimed at him and so in my opinion ( Allowed ) he was subbed. The club have now said he is injured again and I personally think this statement is to protect him and I actually agree with it should it be the case. Now if you think that is being a negative so and so then you are missing the point completely ! Perhaps you are the Goddess of Wisdom tooth brushes and not the one I initially thought you were ! :)
