Stretchered off against Basel, doesn’t look good for him.
3 weeks I believe until we play them, they’re sh*te without him, let’s hope he’s gone for a month!5 April 2013 at 3:19 am #107639Anonymous

It looked bad, ankle twisted badly. Torn ankle ligaments I reckon. I speak from personal experience, as I did exactly the same when I was younger. I was out for months. I could feel the pain he was in. Ligament tears are worse to treat than a broken leg. The joint is permanently weaker after the injury. (I packed in because of it. Was never the same and my ankle would swell up and be sore after playing)
I wonder if he will lose a yard of pace? Another thought is it’ll probably cost him a big European move this summer as well. Right in the last seconds it happened too…as did mine.

Hope we can get at them. I believe we are capable.

Hadn’t actually seen it up close and personal until I edited the original post with the link! Didn’t realise how bad it was. Does look like it might have some lasting damage especially if he has a torn ligament like you said.
Can’t see them making 3rd now, even just playing him in a more attacking they lacked any real threat going forward, no width or killer edge.
I know he’s cr@p but Lennon has took a knock too, and Gallas! Not looking good for them.

I’m thinking about the FA Cup and European slot’s.
