I thought that at the time, have thought it ever since & still think it after seeing that clip, but that season I went to the player of the season do at the supporters club & the put an end of season highlights video thingy up on a screen – I turned to a mate & said pretty much what you posted & Graeme Jones (who was stood about 3 yards away) looked at us, shook his head & said “it wasn’t”

All I can summise from that is that David Lee told them he took a tumble

In Graeme Jones’ world at that time he would’ve had to have been carried off with a broken leg for it to be a penalty.

He’s probably mellowed a bit since then!
