Cannot fault the performance tonight.
Thought it was one of the best performances I have seen under Martinez from back to front.
Same old story of what millions and millions of pounds buys you…. 1 moment of magic to secure 3 points.
18 April 2013 at 1:48 am #109838It’s the finish we lack. Create chances but no finish.
18 April 2013 at 1:49 am #109839Or one of many moments of piss poor defending from a piss poor player, all perspective I suppose.
18 April 2013 at 1:50 am #109840We created two finishes. Unfortunately Hart pulled off a great save for one and Lescott cleared another off the line.
18 April 2013 at 1:54 am #109846Why Di Santo instead of McManaman???should have scored two goals if he was anything like as good as he thinks he is. Oh forgot he plays with Messi for Argentina.. Wouldn’t have him selling programmes
18 April 2013 at 1:58 am #109851I have contrasting thoughts on tonight’s performance in terms of going into the FA cup final…
On one hand you could say we have proven we can compete with them and can go to Wembley with a realistic chance of lifting the FA cup (still think the white jackets will take me away for saying things like that)
On the other hand there wont be a player or member of staff at city who will take us lightly on the back of this performance come the final.
18 April 2013 at 2:06 am #109857unlucky, fantastic tevez goal, pity we cant finish but played really well
18 April 2013 at 3:10 am #109882Shocking miss from Di Santo 1st half !!

Stick a pin in the programme, pick out a player and dish out some gratuitous, preferably unwarranted, and over-the top criticism. You’ll never survive on this forum without being rational and having a sense of persepctive, mate

I thought we played well, held onto the ball for long periods but same old same , were not baggin our chances. We don’t have that little bit of magic that both Moses & N’Zogbia use to give us, a game changer.
My heart says yes , we’ll stay up, my betting head says no. I’m not sure why he went with Di Santo over McManaman unless he was carrying a knock. Me ?, I would have given Henriquez the nod over Di Santo and hope he’d stick one over on his rivals.

first 25 mins SECOND HALF, particularly impressive – really took the game to City.
Quality ? Need a little luck also ….. Maloney’s second half attempt equally as / pretty clever …unfortunately great defending / Lescott.
In our case, break in play, City sub (Sinclair), we switch off for a minute , 2 poor challenges (second / lazy – Gomez), quality finish and we get done !
Standing ovation for team fully warranted at end of the game – players no doubt gutted – gave their all.
WHU, repeat of Capital cup result much needed on Saturday.
